Next fall, grade 8 students at DMS will be offered a new elective course. Successful applicants to this course will experience a new and innovative approach this incorporates multiple subject areas as well as skills in technology, coding, public speaking and research. The course will highlight student creativity and give them a choice as to the learning and research they will do. This course is designed to take a fun and challenging approach to learning using concepts from Project Based Learning.
The course is called Innovation Station. This course, under other names, is being offered in middle schools across WNY and will serve to ignite student learning and creativity. They will be given a chance to look at solutions for things they believe needs attention.
