The Cool Jobs Series kicked off with its first speaker in September.
Entrepreneur, Alex Villafranca, CEO of Arbeit Software talked to students about being an entrepreneur. A high school graduate who had an idea and ran with it, Mr. Villafranca is now the CEO of a multi-million dollar company.
"Want to be good at what you do? Be determined and investigative. Be able to put yourself in someone else's shoes and look at things from a different point of view," he said.
The series will continue on Oct. 17 with Marcus Lovelace, a food technologist at Perry's Ice Cream. High school students are welcome and encouraged to attend to hear about how a food technologist makes ice cream flavors and have a taste of the finished product.
The talk will take place on Thursday, Oct. 17 from 2:30-3 p.m. in HS room 124A.
