On April 2, Cayuga Heights second grade classes headed to the farm on the Farm to Table Field Trip at the Erie County Fairgrounds in Hamburg. Students were able to pet the baby cows, chicken and goats. They also created farm-themed crafts and at lunch at the farm.
The program is designed by the Erie County Agricultural Society to educate students about agriculture and how food comes from the farm and ends up on their table. The Agricultural Society's mission is to preserve and enhance, by educational endeavors, the agricultural and historical legacy of New York State.
