Recording Release: June 16

In addition to our live-streamed performances, the music department is excited to share several recording projects.

Jazz Ensemble - Mrs. Serrano & Mrs. Czosnyka

The middle school and high school jazz ensembles have joined forces through early morning rehearsals to create a recording of Chuck Mangione’s Land of Make Believe arranged by Mike Story and Jerry Lordan’s Apache arranged by John Berry.

4th Grade Band - Miss Doebler

Fourth grade band students are eager to share their first totally independent performance! Mike Hannickel’s  Freaky Fantasy includes a variety of nontraditional techniques, perfect for this nontraditional school year.

5th Grade Band - Miss Doebler

Much like this school year, Ms. Doebler and the 5th grade band dove headfirst into a song unique to anything they had experienced before. Students described Midnight Mission by Brian Balmages as “adventurous”, “spooky”, and “suspenseful.” They hope that the music takes you on a journey that is “simple, yet exciting.”

Elementary Chorus - Mr. Miller

In true blue Depew form, the 4th & 5th grade chorus has rallied together to record Journey’s Don’t Stop Believin’! Mr. Miller and his musicians want to share a message of inspiration for all our Wildcats as we conquer this unique year of challenges and look hopefully to 2021-22.

HS Bands - Mrs. Czosnyka

One project this year for the High School Band students  involved recording Alan Silvestri’s theme from The Avengers arranged by Johnnie Vinson and featuring a video of our students and their heroes.
