SADD Club members hold up the tobacco waste they picked up in a park in Cheektowaga.

On Monday, May 6, students from the Students Against Destructive Decisions Club went to Stiglemeier Park to rid the park of tobacco product waste.  Students scourged parking lots, driveways and walkways and collected bags full cigarette butts.  SADD students have been working with Reality Check from Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center to change legislation to make Cheektowaga Parks become tobacco-free. Collected trash will be presented at an upcoming Cheektowaga Council meeting in the hopes to sway votes towards passing this important law keeping Cheektowaga Parks tobacco-free.
