College Entrance Schedule 2023-24
To complete most college applications, students often take college entrance examinations.
Either the Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT) and/or the American College Test (ACT)
meet this requirement for many colleges. These tests may also be used to qualify for some
scholarships. Students should plan to take one or both exams in May or June of their
junior year, which gives them the opportunity to repeat one or both at the beginning of
their senior year. Applications are available in the Counseling Center or register online.
This year the Practice SAT (PSAT) is offered to juniors on Oct. 26, 2023 and the Practice
ACT (PACT) will be given to sophomores on April, 24, 2024. Students should seek
assistance in the HS Counseling Center.
Students may earn college credit by taking Advanced Placement (AP) courses and
exams and Advanced Studies courses through Erie Community College. There are also
opportunities to earn college credit for Project Lead the Way, Spanish, and French. For
further information, contact the High School Counseling Center at 686-5076.
