The Lancaster Youth Bureau is helping make the holiday season a little brighter for families in need through its annual Thanksgiving Distribution and Day of Giving.
These programs are funded solely through food, clothing, toy, and monetary donations from our generous community. Our Thanksgiving & Day of Giving food distribution is also in partnership with the Trinity Food Pantry.
Thanksgiving Distribution
This year’s Thanksgiving Distribution will take place Friday, Nov. 20, 2026. Families will receive a complete Thanksgiving dinner, including a turkey and side dishes. New and gently used coats will also be available.
The program is open to families in need who live in the Lancaster or Depew school districts and have children ages 21 and younger living in the household.
The deadline to register is November 13. To register, families should call the Lancaster Youth Bureau at 716-683-4444.
Day of Giving
The annual Day of Giving will be held Friday, Dec. 18, 2026, bringing the community together to help make the holiday season brighter for families in need.
Participating families will receive gifts for children ages 18 and younger, gift cards, holiday trees and decorations, and a complete holiday meal.
The program is open to families throughout Western New York who meet SNAP eligibility guidelines. Applicants must provide proof of income and ID and complete their application in person at the Lancaster Youth Bureau.
The deadline to apply is December 11.
