The Depew Union Free School District is happy to announce the appointment of Bernadette R. Krumpek as its new Middle School Principal. The appointment took place as part of its regular meeting on Tuesday, May 23 and will be effective July 1, 2023.

 Mrs. Krumpek comes to Depew with four years of experience as an assistant principal at the Orchard Park Central School District and Batavia City School District. Prior to her serving as an assistant principal, she worked as a school counselor, behavioral specialist and school prevention counselor.

Mrs. Krumpek shared that she is looking forward to her new role as the Depew Middle School Principal, saying, “I feel very fortunate to be given the opportunity to lead such an amazing group of students and educators. I am truly excited to work collaboratively with our parents, students and staff to build on the success that has already been achieved, and to continue to grow and work toward the high standards of excellence Depew has created for its students.”   

 Dr. Hank Stopinski, Superintendent in Depew, shared that he is very excited for Mrs. Krumpek to join the leadership team. “Mrs. Krumpek brings a well-rounded set of skills and knowledge to the school district that mirrors the strategic needs of the district,” he said. “She is student-centered and an experienced leader in many different settings.”
