The Depew Middle School National Junior Honor Society inducted 33 new 7th-grade members into its chapter on Thursday, June 4, 2026. In addition to achieving honor roll averages for three consecutive marking periods, students also had to demonstrate strong examples of leadership, service, character and citizenship.
Students participated in a candle-lighting ceremony relaying the 5 Pillars of Honor Society. New members also took a pledge promising to uphold the ideals of Honor Society in their school and community. The ceremony was led by the advisor, Mrs. Jaime Garver and Mrs. Jessica Iwanicki and the NJHS officers - Morgan DelConte (President), Towseef Shaheen (Vice President), Ethan Makowski (Secretary), Ella Bishop (Treasurer), Victoria Kilian (Media Specialist) and Jillian McClure (Service Coordinator).
We also recognized 29 eighth-grade two-year members. Congratulations to all our new NJHS Members and our eighth-grade two-year members!!! We kicked off the night with a small reception in the Depew High School Cafeteria and would like to thank all our families that brought in food donations and Ms. Russo and the FCS Club that helped run this special treat.
