Our 6th grade students enjoyed an exciting and educational field trip to Beaver Island State Park's Education Rotation Stations. Throughout the day, students rotated through a variety of interactive learning stations led by experts from the Buffalo Museum of Science, Penn Dixie Fossil Park & Nature Reserve, the Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens, and the Buffalo Zoo.
Students had the opportunity to identify real fossils, plant a marigold to take home, learn about different species and their habitats, and even touch a live turtle. The beautiful weather provided the perfect setting for a day of hands-on learning, exploration, and outdoor fun. It was a wonderful experience that allowed students to connect classroom learning with the natural world while creating lasting memories with their classmates.
