Depew High School’s annual Mr. Depew event returned with flair, laughter and a whole lot of school spirit! The lighthearted “beauty” pageant for senior boys is a beloved tradition organized by the Student Senate, where contestants compete in categories like Formal Wear, Charisma, Lip Sync, Beach Wear and Talent.
This year’s seven contestants—Joseph Manna, Daniel Reese, Justin Refermat, Jacob Scibetta, Jordan Szymanski, Elijah Wascak and Tim Zehler—brought energy and creativity to the stage, with routines that had the audience cheering throughout the night.
Student Senate officers Alex Krastvea, Gabby Redman, Ally Richards, and Allyson Skotarski served as choreographers and emcees for the event, while Rachel Jaskier and Andrew Peszko kept things running smoothly behind the scenes.
Jordan Szymanski earned the coveted Mr. Depew title, bringing down the house with his unforgettable lip sync to Beyoncé’s Single Ladies and a heartfelt performance that featured his little sister, Lily.
Elijah Wascak took home the Mr. Sexy Leg title by raising an impressive $127 for the Special Olympics, and Justin Refermat was named Mr. Congeniality for his positive attitude and team spirit throughout rehearsals.
