The Depew Teachers Organization (DTO) delivered a $1,000 donation to the Tri-Community Food Pantry in support of local families during the holiday season. DTO President Sal Carlino presented the check in person to pantry workers, who shared their sincere gratitude for the organization’s support at a time when community needs continue to grow.
The donation was raised through the DTO’s ongoing fundraising efforts throughout the year, with the executive committee and membership selecting charities that directly impact the community.
“We felt with the recent developments with the shutdown, the loss of SNAP benefits and the upcoming holiday season, we wanted to help our local community,” said Carlino. “We have students and families in all three buildings that rely on the pantry to make ends meet.”
This gift to the Tri-Community Food Pantry is sure to be one of many charitable donations the DTO will make this year to support families across Depew.
