On Saturday January 10th, four of the sixth-grade band students proudly represented our school at their very first ECMEA All County Solo Festival. Participating in this festival was truly above and beyond expectations, requiring weeks of extra practice and preparation outside of regular band rehearsals.
Each student performed a solo, demonstrated their scales, and completed a sight-reading exercise for a judge; no small task, especially for first-time participants. Their dedication, determination, perseverance and courage were on full display as they rose to this challenge. We are incredibly proud of their hard work and commitment to musical excellence! Congratulations to Ryan McAdams, Brayden Skotarski, Cece Kean and Rylee McGill.
